Hi there!

Thanks for being matched to me! This is my first time doing Chocolate Box, although I've done many Yuletides before this. You can find me on AO3 under Kaydel. My old fandom name was doxxed, unfortunately, so this new DW is pretty spartan. Rest assured that I have, and do take the time to read through whatever you'll write (or draw!) and leave a lot of incoherent comments.

Under the cut, you'll find my general likes and DNWs as well as more fandom specific prompts:

From past exchanges, I love:

  • forbidden/repressed attraction that is eventually acted on

  • first times

  • power dynamics

  • well-written snark

  • control issues

  • mouthy bottoms

  • wall sex

  • sex pollen (or any substance variation like alcohol but no A/B/O)

  • dirty talk during sex

  • dub-con (this ties in to my other likes; if you're worried about where the line is for this - as long as both parties generally end up having fun, that's fine)

My DNWs

  • guro

  • melodrama

  • mpreg

  • character bashing

  • pet-names (although one or two instances are fine)

  • the word 'orbs' (I know, that's weird)

  • unwarned for non-con/death/rape

  • OT3s or more if not requested

  • issue fic

For more specific prompts by fandom, read on! Although I've requested fic, I'd be happy with art if you decide to treat!

Dunkirk
Farrier/Collins
I ship these two so much it's silly, given the limited screen time they have in the movie! But I love the hints that Jack Lowden and Tom Hardy throw us about their characters. Farrier's cool calmness and sense of duty contrasts so vividly with Collins' enthusiasm and by the book (almost prefect-ish) flying. How much of their relationship is actually about Collins trying desperately to win Farrier's attention (and affection)? And how much is Farrier holding himself back, unwilling to let himself get too caught up in his feelings for this much younger pilot, who might not even return his affection? The glimpses that we get in canon make me wish there was a whole other movie just about these two.

Give me anything about their relationship. How do they reunite after the end of the movie? Does Farrier arrive just in time to celebrate the end of the war? How hard does Collins look for Farrier? Do they both assume the other is gone until they pass by each other in the chaos of VE Day? How does class play a role in their relationship - does it come between them, or are they daring enough to say to hell with the consequences? Post-Canon is preferred, but if you wanted to write something about their first time together, please go ahead!

Shivering Soldier/Peter Dawson
There's so much to unpack with this pair. The Shivering Soldier's mind obviously isn't in the best of places, but he's obviously still able to feel guilty about George's death. Peter, on the other hand, is obviously fascinated from the first moment they pick up the Shivering Soldier. He's wary of him at first, then furious (which is when he lashes out and you can just feel the impact that has on the Shivering Soldier - God bless Cillian Murphy), and then later, when the drama is all over, they seem to come to some kind of understanding (and Peter lives up to all those Stiff Upper Lip cliches).

So, what happens if they meet again, in different circumstances? Does the Shivering Soldier (give him a name or don't, I don't mind) deteriorate further? How would Peter react? What kind of scars does their time on the Moonstone leave on Peter and how would meeting the Shivering Soldier again affect that? Could Peter help the Soldier come to terms with the war? I'm not looking for a miracle cure here, BTW, but maybe some kind of resolution for both of them.

Star Wars Original Trilogy
Wedge Antilles/Luke Skywalker
The original flyboys! I've been re-reading a lot of Wedge/Luke fics and it's made me especially nostalgic for this pairing. I love the camaraderie they have, even if it's only hinted at in the OT. Even in the EU novels, it was never really explicit, but there was an obvious understanding between Wedge and Luke that Wedge would follow Luke anywhere.

So, is there another way they got warm on Hoth? How did they celebrate on Endor? Yes, these are cliched settings, but they're the classics. Otherwise, given the whole Aftermath trilogy and Wedge's (lack of) romance, how would they move on in the new canon? How does Luke's decision to go in search of Jedi lore affect their relationship? What if they had just started something, and had to break it off? Who would make that decision?

Make it as fluffy or as angsty as you want. I'm not fussed either way! Oh, and if you don't mind writing a PWP, why not let Luke make use of all his Force powers and have some fun? I am very OK with plotless smut for these flyboys. *gg*

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story
Cassian Andor/Jyn Erso
If there ever was a case for fix-it fic, it would be these two! OK, so yes the heroic sacrifice at the end of R1 had to be made, but what about that alternate ending that was filmed? What if, somehow, they made it off Scarif? Would they join up with the rest of the Rebellion? How would that play out?

Or, depending on your comfort level with AUs, show me how Cassian and Jyn could have had another kind of story. I'm not really into college or coffeeshop AUs, but anything else, including canon divergence, is fine.

If that doesn't work, what about a stolen moment between the two of them? When Cassian and Jyn find some time away from K2SO? How does Cassian react to Jyn's attitude in a more private setting?

Galen Erso/Bodhi Rook
Just how persuasive was Galen, to make an Imperial turn Rogue? Philosophical discussions, or just plain old kindness to a rookie pilot who was looked down on? Clearly Galen hated building the Death Star, but why did he choose Bodhi, of all the people he could have confided in?

And on Bodhi's side - what might he have heard about the enigmatic scientist? Did he build him up in his mind? Was there something in Galen's eyes, hinting at so much loss, that he might have been drawn to?

Not particularly looking for a happy ending for this one, but I'm OK if you want to make it a Everyone Lives AU.

Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell
John Segundus/John Childermass
There's so much lovely tension between the two Johns (more so in the TV series, especially with Ed Hogg's wide wide eyes) that can be exploited for fic-writing purposes. These characters are so very different in some ways, but their devotion to magic is what brings them together.

With the disappearance of Strange and Norrell, how do these two magicians bring about the revival of English Magic? What kind of fights do they have over their own interpretations of the King's Letters? How does Segundus take to Childermass invading his home (by mirror) at Starecross to discuss something that's just occurred to him? How does Childermass react to Segundus' fastidious nature?

Arabella Strange/Jonathan Strange
I love the relationship Arabella and Jonathan have (except for the part where he tends to get too sidetracked by magic). His determination to find her and free her from TGWTH is heartbreaking, especially at the ending of the book (and I know that many have issues with the TV series, but I loved the final scene between Bella and Jonathan).

Does Jonathan eventually make his way back to Bella? How do they deal with the separation and the Darkness? Or, alternatively, how did he woo her when they were younger? It would be nice to explore their relationship before the events of the book.
